The Snowpulse Lifebag 30 is a mid-sized ski pack with an avalanche protection airbag system. The pack contains a compressed air canister which inflates a large, super-tough bag around your head and shoulders providing floatation, to prevent you being buried by debris, and impact protection. By making your effective volume much larger the SnowPulse system ensures that you stay on the surface of the avalanche as large debris will tend to rise during fluid motion, this process is known as inverse segregation.

At 30 litres the Lifebag 30 is designed for day touring and moderate backcountry forays but lacks the space for multiday tours. It will take your safety gear, spare clothes, lunch and a drink.

The Lifebag should never be the first piece of avalanche safety gear you turn to: transceiver, shovel and probe are all far more important - however if you have all of those and still want an extra level of safety then it really is the ultimate avalanche protection.
